Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of flour, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, and a pinch of salt.

In a separate bowl, cream together 1 cup of softened butter and 1 cup of sugar until light and fluffy.

Add 2 large eggs to the butter mixture, beating well after each addition.

Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until well combined.

Fold in 1 cup of chocolate chips until evenly distributed.

Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of the dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.

Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
